Misha McCool, LMHC

Meet Misha McCool, LMHC

Hello, I’m Misha! I’m passionate about listening and understanding clients from an empathic perspective, one that helps people gain confidence and self esteem. My goal is to help people live happy and fulfilling lives. I love learning about ways to better assist people in their journey. I think each individual is the expert on their life experiences and has the resilience to overcome. I was raised in the Pacific Northwest and I like the outdoors. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, fur baby, and friends!

Approach and education

My approach to therapy is integrative, collaborative, and derived from research-based models of therapy. I utilize an interdisciplinary strengths based approach that incorporates techniques from CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT (Dialectal Behavioral Therapy), Positive Psychology, and psychoeducation. I received my Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University. I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to work with individuals of all ages from 6 to over 70 in inpatient clinics, outpatient clinics, schools, and hospitals. I have experience working with individuals, children and families, and groups.

“It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light.”
